Junk removal Quad Cities: city programs or Wade's?
Your city or county may already help with some of it. Here is what the official pages say, so you can decide what to do yourself and what to hand to us. Rules and fees change, so check the source.
Moline
One free bulky item pickup per home each year, up to 2.5 cubic yards or 100 pounds, and $40 for each extra pickup. It does not take televisions, computer equipment, appliances, tires, household hazardous materials, bricks or concrete (city page).
East Moline
Up to 4 bulky collections a year with a $15 prepaid sticker. It does not take TVs, appliances, electronics, tires, hazardous waste, construction debris or pianos, and whole-house cleanouts need a private dumpster (city page).
Rock Island County
Free curbside pickup of old appliances and tires through the county program, up to 4 appliances and 10 tires per household each year. Call (877) 934-5378 to schedule (city page).
Davenport
Bulky waste is covered by the city’s solid waste fee. Extra waste from a move or a decluttering is a separate special collection that you request through an online form (city page).
Electronics and chemicals
The Waste Commission of Scott County runs an Electronics Recovery Center for anything with a screen or circuit board, and a household hazardous material facility for paint and chemicals (Waste Commission). Rock Island County residents can use the hazardous material facility free (city page).
Appliances with refrigerant
The EPA says whoever disposes of an appliance last is responsible for making sure the refrigerant is removed, and a signed statement is required if someone else removed it (EPA).
When there is more than a city program takes, when an item is not accepted, or when you simply want it gone on your schedule, that is when to call us for a free quote.

Junk removal Quad Cities FAQ
How much does junk removal cost in the Quad Cities?
It depends on how much there is and how hard it is to reach, so we quote every job for free before we start. For a national picture, TaskRabbit’s cost guide (updated November 1, 2026) lists about $60 to $150 for an eighth of a truck, $150 to $250 for a quarter, $250 to $450 for a half and $450 to $750 or more for a full truck. Our junk removal cost guide explains what moves the price.
How does junk removal work?
Our junk removal Quad Cities service is simple. You show us what has to go, we give you a price, and then we load it and haul it away. You do not have to lift anything or make a trip to the dump. We sweep up when we are done.
What will junk removal not take?
It depends on the company, so ask before you book. Some things need special handling: household hazardous materials such as paint and chemicals go to the Waste Commission of Scott County’s hazardous material facility, anything with a screen or circuit board can go to its Electronics Recovery Center, and appliances with refrigerant must have the refrigerant removed before they are scrapped. Tell us what you have and we will say if it needs a different route.
What is the cheapest way to get rid of furniture?
Giving it away, if it is in good shape, costs nothing, and some charities will pick up usable furniture. Your city may also help. Moline gives each home one free bulky item pickup a year, and East Moline sells prepaid bulky pickup stickers for $15. When the pile is bigger than a city program allows, or you want it gone on your schedule, a junk removal company is the next step.
Can I put old appliances out for city pickup?
Not in Moline or East Moline, which both refuse appliances. Rock Island County residents can schedule free curbside appliance and tire pickup through the county program, up to 4 appliances and 10 tires per household each year. If you need an appliance hauled sooner or you have more of them, ask us for a quote.
What do I do with old TVs and computers?
Moline and East Moline do not take them in bulky pickup. The Waste Commission of Scott County runs an Electronics Recovery Center for anything with a screen or circuit board. If you would rather not make the trip, ask us whether we can include them in your job.
Do I need to be home during junk removal?
Ask us when you book. We start with a free quote by phone or on site, and we agree on what goes before any work starts.
Can you help with a garage, basement or estate cleanout?
Yes, tell us about the job and we will quote it. For an estate or a family home, many people sort first, keeping what matters, offering items to family and friends, and donating what is usable, and then call us for the rest. Our guide to estate cleanouts walks through it.
Is junk removal better than renting a dumpster?
It depends on the job. A dumpster costs you the work of loading it. A junk removal service does the lifting and loading. East Moline says whole-house cleanouts are not allowed in its city bulky pickup and need a private dumpster, so for a large cleanout compare both.
Do you offer junk removal for businesses, landlords and homeowners associations?
Yes. We quote commercial junk removal Quad Cities properties individually, as a one-time cleanout or on a schedule. Call (309) 235-9237 to talk through your property.
How should I prepare for junk removal?
To get the most from junk removal Quad Cities crews, decide what stays, make sure we can reach the items, and tell us about stairs or tight spaces. Our guide on how to prepare for junk removal has a simple checklist.
Do you offer junk removal near me in Davenport, Bettendorf or Moline?
Yes. We serve Davenport, Bettendorf, Moline, Rock Island, East Moline, Silvis, Coal Valley, Milan, Preemption and Sherrard. Call (309) 235-9237 to confirm your address.
